HASP announces that project will not go ahead

We are disappointed to announce that we have to put our project on hold for the foreseeable future. Whilst we've had a lot of tremendous feedback, continuous support and the backing of key organisations, due to the tight schedule all parties are on to confirm art installation and the project for the year ahead, combined with slow response rate from schools, we unfortunately don't have the required number of schools on board to roll out the project as planned.

We're additionally disappointed for everyone involved and those schools who responded quickly to take advantage of this unique and exciting project but as much as they'll appreciate we have guidelines to follow and deadlines to meet, we also appreciate that due to the busy start to term and the increasing operational challenges and changes that many schools are facing, it's not always easy to take advantage of extra and new intra curricular opportunities.

We'd like to thank all of you for your support, help and encouragement in trying to get this project on the road. In particular, we'd like to thank the Cupola Art Gallery and both Liverpool Cathedrals.

Special thanks goes to the Hillsborough Families Support Group whom without their support the project could not have got this far.

We wish all the families the best and continued strength and support in their quest for justice and hope that IPCC and the British legal system move much faster than they have in the past year.

Here at #HASP we are looking for Bands and DJs that would want to play for us at a secret venue in Liverpool and Sheffield to raise funds for our project starting in Sept 2013 - March 2014 with 96 educational establishments in Liverpool and Sheffield.

We are currently setting up as charity status for the forthcoming 'Hillsborough Arts and Sports Project' and are raising funds in order that 3,000 kids in Liverpool and Sheffield can participate in this worthwhile project that will be exhibited in Liverpool Cathedral, Liverpool Metropolitian Cathedral and Cupola Contemporary Art, Sheffield in April 2014.
